With a view to improving the surface finish of a machined part and reducing manufacturing times for our customers, Atela acquired a 1064nm fiber-etched laser in 2021. This equipment enables the serial number or manufacturing order number to be engraved on parts before processing, thus facilitating production batch traceability in the event of anomalies.

It is also possible to carry out post-treatment etching if required, although this can lead to cracks and defects in the treatment. Consequently, this method is reserved for layers thicker than 30µm and with defined parameters.
