Precious metals

Precious metal electroplating

General

We have a precious metal galvanizing line dedicated mainly to watch movement parts or parts for measuring machines such as spectrometers and photon detectors.

We handle parts in bulk or in buckles.

THE PRACTICAL ABC IN QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Yes.

  • Electroless nickel deposits have excellent adhesion to all metals that can be treated.
  • Good adhesion of the deposit depends to a large extent on the preparatory range that the parts undergo before treatment.
  • The chemical composition and microstructural state (quenched and tempered; nitrided; cold-rolled, etc.) of special steels and alloys must be indicated in order to obtain the best bonding results.
  • Heat treatment after deposition (~220°C) perfects adhesion to steels, and especially aluminum alloys (~190°C).
Benefits

Extreme abrasion resistance

Extreme corrosion resistance
